Ho, Ho, Ho,
Thanks for a great 2014 Santacon!
Santacon was Friday December 19th - Starting at 6:30PM at Lucky Joe’s in old Town Fort Collins!! We met at Lucky Joe’s and after rounding up all the Santa’s’ elves, Ms. & Mrs. Clauses, reindeer, etc. and moved on to our next location. This was our 1st stop and meeting place before setting out for other destinations and spreading good cheer in old Town!
The first ever Santacon in Fort Collins took place Friday, December 18th, 2009 in Old Town Fort Collins. Fun was had by all, including those that had never seen so many being jolly in one place! A special thanks go out to Lucky Joe’s and Old Chicago.
What is Santacon?
Santacon takes place in major cities all over the world involving tens of thousands of Santa’s. It is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious & non-sensical, non-logical celebration of holiday cheer, goodwill, and fun.
There is no good reason to dress up in cheap Santa suits, run around town, give gifts, sing songs, have strangers sit on our laps, and decide who is naughty or nice -- but it's a lot of fun -- so Santa does it anyway. Everyone loves Santa and Santa loves everyone! Santacon is your chance to be Santa, so step up and be jolly.
Every December for the last 16 years, Cacophonous Santa’s have been visiting cities around the world, engaging in a bit of Santarchy as part of the annual Santacon events. This is NOT a drunken event of violence!
It all started back in 1994 when several dozen Cheap Suit Santa’s paid a visit to downtown San Francisco for a night of Kringle Kaos. Things have reached Critical Xmas and Santarchy is now a global phenomenon.
